Arctic sensory fun

This is a sensory tray
I use this salt for children to pour and stir and mix and play - May times of the year it has different themes on it, or different sensory items. We rarely use food in our sensory tables and trays. We feel playing with our food is not the best message and some children don't have an abundance of food, so playing with it is difficult.
I have put shaving cream on the sensory trays and
white mud-
white mud is dove soap grated with a cheese grater
mixed with water and white tissue paper. The children love it and it feels like
a soft clay. It smells delicious too-
We also make puffy paint from shaving cream and white glue that they love to use
this time of year on the trays or to tint with food coloring and paint with.
