I want to start by saying.. I dislike Self-portraits so much.. that I almost did not... participate this week. WHY? It's a bunch of reasons.. I feel young.. but the camera says otherwise.. that my much needed animated stories... have created deep creases and wrinkles... that... my hair is in such need of a cut or a trim.. but I pushed past my comfort zone and entered in a different place... ( I have toyed with the idea of a weekly photo meme of self-portraits of yourself.. with a theme.. each week.. if you are interested please email me eatmywords40@yahooo.com)

2. Handmade
It may not look amazing but it was.. My son had this in his classroom... and the recipe came home to try.. and we loved it.
Apple Pizza
1 can of pillsbury biscuit dough or pizza dough
cheddar cheese grated
1 apple sliced very thin
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 tbsp cinnamon
butter
Lightly spray cookie sheet or sheets with non-stick cooking spray. Open can of dough and divide onto the cookie sheet.. for biscuits 1' apart for pizza dough just layout.
Sprinkle biscuits with a small amount of cheese spread with apple slices about 3 slices per biscuit.. if using
In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle lightly over top of each biscuit. Top each pizza with a small pat of butter
Bake in a preheated overn 350 for 15 minutes remove and let sit for a few minutes as liquid is reabsorbed by biscuits or dough... Serve bacon tastes good on top .. in little pieces... too
This yarn turkey was made by me... so my son could pull out a feather to choose a Thanksgiving book to be read to him, it could also be used... with older children and after they read a book.. you add the feather with the title.
yes, it looks like playdough but it is cookie dough... someone purchased for my son from a fundraiser..and I swore I was going to give it away.. because of the color and sugar.. but my son loved it... and he really was creative.. I tried to let the dog... eat a few... so we had less coloring and sugar in our bodies... I think I threw one or two out .. after I took pictures.. but please don't tell my son that.
3.Candle
I have only a few yankee candles.. and I love when it is time to bring them out again..I like the smell of this one....
4. ORANGE
we took our son to a fall festival today.. but everything was so expensive he could not do the spin art or the sand art.. and he was so sad...I had extra sand and this bottle.. from his last years.. dinosaur party.. so when we got home .. I played carnival worker.. and he had fun.. filling.. Now to find batteries for my spin art machine..... santa, please send C batteries....
5. Traffic lights
we went to a garage sale that was selling old street signs today.. they were all lined up.. and looked so cool, but a. we did not have my camera..and b. I did not want to get the family in trouble.. because I think you can get in trouble for having street signs.. they were only 2 or 3 years old, so I took this photo..
See you next week for an all new scavenger hunt.. but come back before Sunday if you would love some cranberry recipes... My crispix cereal trail mix idea... for thanksgiving and a few more tricks up my sleeve...

These are great. I love your yarn turkey. So neat! Our candle shots are similar. :D
Well I think your self portrait looks great - I'm looking forward to Christmas self-portraits...I will often take my portrait in the reflection of ornaments...takes the edge off of being in front of the camera!
