I am still going Strong.. on the A to Z challenge.. I will finish...... but a bit late.

I think that everyone should know some basic sign-language... It's important... to know different ways to communicate... a little foreign languages.. a little sign-languages... could be a big help some time. somewhere....

At least the alphabet.. you could spell things.... I have a great song by  Dr.Jean Feldman...called Who let the letters out...? ( the tune is much like who let the dogs out...?remember that song) but the kids love it.. and I do the letters in sign-language...

IF you are a homeschool mom, a mom of a young child or a teacher who has not heard of her.. than please google her... and order her CD.. if you like it... Here is a classroom.. doing her song.. for graduation....

This video.. will make you laugh.. they do say a bad word... in sign language... but it is so funny... this is a college girl doing the song... "forget you" for her class project.. all in sign-language.. so worth watching. It's funny with the sound up.. but you can listen to it.. without.... and still get the idea....

***** Don't forget to click above and watch this infectious... video.. it get's people excited to do sign-language... in a hip...way.. I had to do this... for my project.. and we did Dione Warwick's song...Friends... and  I still to this day.. remember a lot of the signs for the song....

In high-school there was a after-school club called the sign language club.. and I was in this group... I really enjoyed it so much that I took  another class like it, after graduation at BOCES for two more years.. intermediate and then Advanced.. advanced.. they don't speak at all... I really wanted to be a sign-language interpreter... but it turned out that I was classified with Visual perceptual problems.. and orthographic coding problems.. which is a fancy way of saying my brain stored the information.. I learned in sign-language but could not access it fast enough to use it in a timely fashion.. so that career idea... went out the window.. but I still love it.. and I did use it in circle time in my classrooms.
