Ok so I am not a huge Rachael Ray fan... but I do think she has quick easy recipes and some quite delicious.. I love Nutella, and recently went to a resteraunt called Carbanella's with my friend Dawn and her husband to celebrate her birthday and they had... a Nutella Ring...it's pizza dough with nutella inside...and powdered sugar.. on top.. Delicious... So I am on a Nutella kick.. for those of you who do not know as to what I am referring to ... It is coco-hazelnut spread... So She gave this quick easy recipe for a fun twist on a sundae... Here are the pictures first and then the recipe...

1 cup chopped nuts, hazelnuts is what i used
1 cup chocolate-hazelnut spread.. Nutella
2 pints rum raisin ice cream. vanilla works too.. I used Hagan Das Rum raisin.. cause it was hard to find rum raisin
12 soft fig newtons sliced
whip cream from a canister..
Makes 4 dessert sundae's
layer the ice cream than nutella than nuts..than fig newtons than whip cream.
I toasted the nuts over low heat in a small pan.. I warmed the nutella in a pan... on the stove.. cause we got rid of our microwave.. to be GREEN... so You could micro wave the nutella fro 40 seconds.. ENJOY.. and Only eat one...

Now that's a unique dessert. I like Nutella, but would never think to pair with Fig bars. Your pix are fantastic and make my mouth water. :)
i saw this in food network mag, just this week. i am not a big nutella fan but I had to hide the picture from my son!
