Cats

 So today is Shutter Love Tuesday and even though I have a new job... my hours are different so I have time to participate in this new hobby photography.. The theme is Pets.. I have 1 dog and 2 cats... but let's go back to my childhood. I was raised by my grandmother and we had 2 black standard poodles... I loved  my poodle so much... she was the best dog ever...I lived with my mother in 3rd and 4th grade and then again at 16-18. My mom always had Persians cats... long haired pushed in faced, cats... she would cook them liver.... UGH.. and guess who had to clean the cat box, you guessed it!!!!! ME


So when I met my husband he had 2 cats... One named Oreo one named Buster. Oreo was a skittish cat who hid alot, and Buster he had no desire to pay any attention to me, and he was a tomcat... and mean to Oreo.. I never fed these cats.. The smell of cat food to me is worse than baby diapers... When Oreo died my husband was so upset and then Buster had to be put to sleep a few months later... My husband had my dog but he did not bond with them... maybe because she was mine from the start not ours.. Just like his cats.. My son was now 3 1/2 and we thought  we could get a kitten, good thing the people at the shelter were smart, they said He was too young for a kitten. ( I am too old for a kitten, and there shenanigans) It happen to be buy one get one free at the shelter... my husband can not resist a bargain.. I not really being a cat fan... was not amused.. he looked at so many... They had them in large rooms where they can crawl on you or walk around your feet, so you can see there personality... I liked one big cat up on a post just laying there.. saying I am bored of you people... The lady from the shelter gave me his card... I read what the previous owner had written about him.
 Sir Nipperton ( are you kidding me, someone named there cat this...) things he is a dog.. He has been both a house cat and an outdoor cat. He is been known to steal the dogs favorite nap spots an even the dogs bed. He likes to eat hard dog food and cat food and is very friendly and fast. He climbs trees and can fight his way out of a dog fight. He is careful of cars and is good with kids.
  I had to have this "Dog" cat... but not with that name.

  My husband told me to pick both cats because he could not decide and my son wanted all the cats... I wanted a big gray one...who was blind.. but the lady at the shelter told me..he can't go with out this cat... pointing to a very rowdy one...So I kept looking around.. In a cage were some sick ones... One with beautiful stripes.. My son loved this one, so I asked the lady for his card.. His card said FERILE cat.. took 3 months to warm up to people and be captured.. NOT sure if I want a non social cat to be with my almost 4 year old..

 

   So they aren't very photogenic pictures.. but these are my cats. I love them both. The little one is very feisty and fresh, he jumps on counters and steals meat....He catches chipmunks... and I love chipmunks and he is very friendly. The big cat is such a lover...He has such a fun personality and is like a DOG and he has stolen my dog's bed....
