OLD

 So for the letter O... for the A-Z challenge.. I decided to do things OLD.. and NEW...
so..

1st...When expectant parents or mother's wanted to tell their friends or family the gender of the baby... some waited till the birth, some set up the rooms with the colors...others wrapped little boxes... with the word girl or boy inside... to give to parents... or grandparents... but that is OLD.. now they are having gender parties....

when the cake is served.. and cut..the color inside tells the family and friends...if it's blue.. a boy... pink a girl.

 2. Sweet sixteen cakes... were simple... then.. now that is old.. and they have elaborate cakes and parties.. the baker creates a cake almost as big as a wedding cake.

 3. OLD cell phones

and new cell phones.. that have crazy apps like this....

Have you ever missed that crucial part in a movie because you simply had to, well, pee? Or worse, sat cross-legged in the cinema too afraid to leave in case you lost the plot? Californian Dan Florio has. It was while watching the three-hour King Kong movie, which he uncomfortably endured despite an urgent need to go to the loo. In retrospect he realised he could have missed the boring bug scene and so created RunPee, a website, now an app, of a host of films and their missable parts. The app is available on iPhone, BlackBerry and Android platforms.
What does it do?

 

RunPee is an app that tells you when to go to the toilet mid-movie and not miss anything crucial. Billed as the app that lets your bladder enjoy the movie as much as you do, wags call it the "wiki-pee-dia" for cinephiles with small bladders. You can program the app so it buzzes to tell you when pee times approach. (It may be a good idea to keep your vibrating mobile device away from your full bladder though). Then if you take longer than expected, a synopsis of what you've missed is available. Recommended pee times are available for latest-release movies as well as classics. It even tells you how long the credits roll if you can wait that long.
Who would use it?
Moviegoers with bladder problems (pregnant women and men with prostate problems), parents with children, or those who overindulged on the soft drinks.

4. Almonds as favors at weddings....

Now they give wine corks, seeds, money donated to a charity.... or nothing...

5. Tupperware parties... OLD
new... Passion parties... jewelry parties, pocket book parties.. Miche or Madison....

The world is changing.. quickly and what was once cool.. is OLD now.. and newer things.... sometimes are cooler.....  either way... it's what you like.. but some things are just fads....
