Wasabi Mommy confesses

I have never done Friday confessional so I decided to give it a try I also visited my other favorites Trendy tree house follow

So if your new to Wasabi Mommy hello... I am a mother of 1  little boy who will be 5 in a few short weeks. I just had my 42 bday yesterday, so I am an older mom. It's hard sometimes... Less patience and less energy. I have a stepson who lived with us for 5 years but is at his moms now.. I have 2 crazy cats and one old dog.

  SO... What to confess about... I guess it's suppose to be something recent????
.....I'll start by saying I forget to take my makeup off most nights...
.......I love to watch the show Hoarding.. as my basement looks just like those people
.......I take money from my husbands wallet some times when he is in the shower, if he's been out drinking with friends... Bad I know but he never notices....
.........I dislike getting in trouble or doing anything wrong.
.......I avoid confrontations like the plague
.......my husband cheated on me and I am still with him??? still trying to figure this one out...
......I recently left my job and did not leave 2 weeks notice,and anyone who knows me knows I have only done this one other time. BAD
.......I have never been fired from a job.
........I  lied to one person this week.
Those are all of the things I could think of ... Oh and I said the lords name in vain once...

Feed me Friday is so fun for me as I love children's books so this time the post will be 15 of my favorite A-Z books.. If you don't own any and you have a pre-k child or a Kindergartner you should jot a few down and go to your local library to check a few out...

 I have started my unit on the abc books with my son, as Kindergarten is fast approaching and he still gets a few letters confused...
He  likes this unicorn book.... girls would love it.

 This is a book most kids find boring but I like it as it the letter on one page drawn to look like a wooden letter and the opposite side has something that starts with the letter.. my son enjoyed it, but I have read it to some that are bored...

  Most everyone has heard of Lois Ehlert she has great pictures and this one is no exception.

  Many people who home school love this book and it has great words inside like A for Archipelago remember that word....????Do you remember what it means????? a group of islands clustered together in an open expanse of sea or ocean.

 

 Some people find Chris Van Allsburg as a bit odd for children.. But he drew the story for the Polar express this book is all black and white and it's about the letters in a show doing things like J who is Jitttery  or S getting soaked.

My son is obsessed with insects and ants are his second favorite.. He loves to get books about them and this one is so funny to see ants dressed up from a to z.

  This is an old book of mine.. It is all black and white it looks like pencil drawings but I think it it a fun book to curl up with your older child 6-8 and talk about things in the picture.

 This book I use in my art unit it talks about different artists.... for letter L it says I spy with my little eye something beginning with Ll and on the other page is a painting from John Singer Sargent, Carnation, lily lily rose. It is fun to begin to expose your child to art.

This book also has a companion sold separately called Numbears... so cute  Old fashioned pictures.

   This book is very bright and a favorite among many Pre-k and younger. For G it says giggly goats ride sailboats out on a moonlit sea..... so fun and who doesn't love some rhymes.

  Some of you may recognize this breed of dog and have seen them on sesame street, I was obsessed with this breed for a few years, the owner of the dogs has made many calendars and books even Cinderella and Little red Riding hood.

  This is one of my all time favorites..... It is mostly just letters that change shape and turn into an object much like her other book sea shapes.. www.susemacdonald.com/cg-sea/html good link for homeschooling.

  This book teaches tundra vocabulary.

    This book is a bit of an antique it's different birds from a to z drawn....

I love to teach children the real names of trees, I feel they have no idea of any tree names and this book makes it fun...

  The letters are in each page like a quilt.... I use it in school for the letter Q.
