I actually never lived in Rhinebeck, just born at Dutchess County Hospital. My father was in the army and stationed in Germany. My mother flew back in time for my birth and stayed with her parents in Staatsburg. After that, I lived in a number of places growing up, but still consider Staatsburg and the Hudson as where I grew up. I still have family in the area and we're going for a visit this summer. I want my kids to know and experience how beautiful the summers are there.
I was, still am I guess, a nurse before staying home with my children. PICU was my specialty for most of my career, so unfortunately, I understand NF1 (I guess the technical side of it, not the living and loving someone with it part). I don't think I could ever go back to it now, it's too painful as a mom. I was able to separate myself back then and I'm not sure I could now. Your video for your son is very moving.
I do love to read, but I don't have much time for it. How about yourself? How did you get into bento box making? There should be some catchy term for that!
My email is luraymeister@gmail.com if you want to email me. I'm realizing this is a crazy long reply comment!
