So today's pause is about taking pause to see if you are really living your authentic life? Do you do things based on your passion, and your drive or do you do things just to do them. Do you enjoy your job? if not it's time to take pause and think about this. I am not asking you to reveal this to me but many of us don't like silence. We cant' be still unless we are sleeping. We can't wait on a line without playing with our phones and if NOTHING is on TV we are either, reading, cleaning, eating or on the computer. WE don't like silence. People in general don't want to get to the surface of our day to day consciousness. We just start our day, and go to bed and do it all over again. I like to use Rumi's quote he says,"When you do something from your soul, you feel a river moving moving in you, a joy." I am going to take you on a 31 day journey about many thing, to pause about but one thing I want to really have you think about is to listen to the call of your soul. It sends you messages. IF you are a dancer or painter it calls to you to paint or dance. Many people tell me oh, I was a painter but then my kids were born and I have never picked up a brush again- and I want to ask WHY? Mother's especially tune out that call. We think we have a new calling. Being a mother is very important, but we should not let our passions, hobbies and calling disappear. If we don't follow our "dreams", or passion and listen to our soul.. the soul sometimes shows up in our life as anger, physical illness and restlessness it has even been shown to show up as self-destruction. So PAUSE and listen to the voice inside you.

I don't write fiction or poetry anymore. It feels like that part of my burned out along the way. I should keep trying. Maybe I'll get it back.
