When my son was born I wanted to sing to him all the time when I rocked him to sleep, but I don't like my voice, so I purchase a Celine Dion album of lullabies, I liked them and I sang along to them. When my son was about 2 I had not gotten a hair cut since he was born, I WAS way overdue, especially for a wax so my husband watched my son. When I came home they were watching Tarzan the disney movie, I was not a happy camper. It turned out that my son became so interested in this movie, we had to buy it then we had to buy the cd that went to the movie.
Fast forward to 3 months and it's nap time, I just finished reading my son 3 books and now nap time is suppose to begin- my son says,"Mommy let me sing you a song to fall asleep." I started to say- It's time for you to nap.. when I said ok-
He sang....Come stop your crying it will be all right just take my hand ( he lightly took my hand in his)hold it tight. I will protect you from all around you . I will be there for you ( not the real line,but he was on a roll...
