Q is for Quiet Romantic Dinners

So on my journey to blog about topics from A to Z... I am on Q for Quiet Romantic Dinners

What vision comes to mind when you you hear the word romantic dinners?

Do cobwebs form on just the thought of it, ME TOO. How did I let this
happen, I am a romantic, I love to cook- but the kids are always here
and that kind of gets in the way of romance right...? I was surfing the blogging
world today and I found this young wife's blog and .. it made me think..www.riathurston.com/2010/04/husband-brag.html Her blog name is Life as a wife. She talks about how her husband takes a class some nights and she eats along which is NOT romantic can be fun if you are a mother of many children but not romantic, but the fact that he set the table, and made the dinner, when he can't be with her was SOOOO romantic, go check her out and her brag- I would brag too, if my husband did this.
Speaking of husbands my friend Janice wrote on facebook that her man came out to get her after she had a flat tire, and she said I am sorry to him and he said,"Dont' be sorry your my number one." very romantic but no dinner LOL

So how can we add more of these to our lives romantic dinners ???? a babysitter in my area is $10.00 an hour and than factor in the gas, and the cost of the dinner that is a lot of money for a night out ... but we all deserve it every once in a while, whether it's our birthday, annivesary or date nigh. I wish I could say I am one of the many women I know that do date night, but my husband and I have not seemed to get the hang of it, as much as we would like to, it is usually a babysitting cost issue.
My husband is a good cook and one Valentines day he created a 4 course menu and cooked all 4 things for me, goat cheese and spinach with raspberry sauce was one of my favorites that he created.  I know some people say there husband cannot cook much at all- what if you left an easy recipe out?? would they?
I live in upstate NY and in the hudson valley there are so many resteraunts I love and many I have only been to once but today I am going to talk about a great place to go for a Quiet romantic dinner in Ellenville, NY . But first let me tell you how I learned about this gem- I was a demonstrator in a rubber stamping company called Stampin UP and we had a conference in Las Vegas, I was engaged to another man not my current husband and we were having problems and my father had died 4 months earlier and I needed a distraction so I signed up for the conference, it was worth every penny I still owe on my credit card, lol but seriously that is another post. I met a lot of great people and knew a few going one person was Jamie Guiliano from Ellenville, NY. She told me while we were stampin  at convention that her husband was a chef, I was so interested as I love the culinary institute of america and have eaten there and dreamed of going there. I could never be a career chef, too stressful. So a year later she wrote me an email telling me to come check out her restaurant. I told my fiancee ( our wedding was in 2 months) we should check it out.   We drove over windy hills and roads and great views, and finally settled into the town of Ellenville. I loved the way it was decorated and the menu was outstanding with so many fresh and "clean" foods available. Clean foods are foods free of antibiotics or steroids and even pesticides. We had a terrific meal, and had our picture taken outside by my friend and owner Jamie Guiliano. (picture above) outside the AROMA THYME BISTRO
The Aroma Thyme Bistro has been featured in the local magazine Hudson valley magazine. In this article my friends husband and owner of Aroma Thyme is quoted by saying," Fish in his bistro is caught by a hook and line by a family owned buisness in the Pacific Northwest not hydraulic long line machines, these machines usually catch older fish which may have mercury. Sounds like great "clean eating" ideas, and practices to me.
If you are interested in this go towww.healthychefdude.com and meet Marcus the owner and chef of Aroma Thyme Bistro. they also have a website for the bistro with special events and menu  the bistro is located in Ellenville, NY on 165 canal street.
www.aromathymebistro.com . I have not been paid to give this bistro a thumbs up - I just wanted my local followers to see and maybe visit a great spot for a Quiet romantic dinner, and my followers from a far to see what the hudson river area has to offer and give a little window into clean eating. It is Jamie's birthday weekend so I thought it would be a good time for a post.
Enjoy and if the night you go it's not QUIET just remember at least it's good and still romantic. Tommorow's post will be letter R and I will be reviewing  10 books and a few book stores and one breakfast spot I love to read in.

Hi, Nothing like a sweet romantic dinner, is there? I have never been to New York and at this age, I probably won't but would love to. Thanks for the wonderful descriptions. I can feel like I am there, anyway.

Now it's just my wife and I left at home, but neither of us likes to eat in the evening any more. The daytime meals are not quite as romantic as candlelight dinners. We like a nice romantic movie in the evenings-- that's kind of nice.
